April Fool-y Stuff Plus HP Fandom

You know what today is, don’t you?
It’s April Fool’s Day, a day in which the world’s fools unite to pull out the sneakiest pranks on their friends and family.

Now, I very efficiently have realized that there is no point in trying to fool you guys, so in this post, I’m going to show you five of my fave April Fool pranks and jabber about HP fandom because HEY, IT’S FRED AND GEORGE’S BIRTHDAY, DID YOU FORGET???

Bizarre and Foolish (and Harmless) Pranks

  • THE UPSIDE DOWN WATER GLASS
Samantha@ A Redhead With a Book gave me this cunning idea. Just fill a clear glass with water and turn it upside down. Then let your victim groan on and on. INGENIOUS, eh?IMG_5837

Mine, sadly, is already emptied, and I’m too lazy to do it again, so there.

  • MUSTACHE MANIA
This one was sort of inspired by the net, but it isn’t an exact copy. Instead of drawing a mustache on your victim’s face while he/she is sleeping, draw a few the day before and cut them out. Put some double sided tape behind, and you’re good to go!IMG_20170401_122713.jpg

Now all that’s left to do is to sneak it onto someone’s face when they’re asleep…

  • NICKEL ON THE FAUCET
Ah… Another prank by the amazing Samantha. I owe you, I do.

All you have to do is tape a nickel onto your faucet. The rest will be done by your unsuspecting victim. *evil cackle*

The water squirted all over my grandad. I had quite a good laugh. 😀

  • THE BOSSY ROCK
This one is quite simple and just as funny. All you need is a rock and some paint.

Mwahahahahaha!

  • THE GERMAN CAR COMMERCIAL
Oh, this one will creep you out of your wits. Will you brave it and watch till the end… Or will you hide like a sorry little bean?

Are you freaked out yet??

Now that we’re done with le pranky business, I’m going to celebrate Fred and George’s birthday with you, whether you like it or not.

Cards (1)

That’s the card I made for them.

Yeah, Fred is dead. But you know what, he’s still funny. Because the thing about books is, you can relive the memories as many times as you want.

Don’t let Fred’s place in your heart be vacant now that you know he’s dead. Without him, we wouldn’t have had the Harry Potter we know today. Everything, every single detail, however small, matters. That makes Harry Potter- and us- complete.

Fred’s always there… And so are Dumbledore, Sirius, Hedwig, Lily and James Potter… So is Voldemort. Though he is quite filthy and murderous, he makes Harry Potter what it is. It may be hard to accept, but without Voldemort, this story wouldn’t have been born.

So my birthday wishes go to both George and Fred. After all, to the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure.

Are YOU a Potterhead?
Did you manage to get through all that jabbering?
What did you do for April Fool’s Day?

Yours,
Mukta the free elf. << Would you like that as my signature signoff? Dobby style, you know…

  1. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ‘Are YOU a Potterhead?? Of course I am!! And BTW, we did the pranks together so obviously I know the pranks.
People like me usually get freaked out at such a video even if they know it’s coming.

    1. Heh heh. To say the truth, neither was I, but I sent my cousin yelling and running away. Thank you! Whoa, YOU TOO??? I keep feeling guilty for doing that but I guess I can’t help it.

  2. Cute post Mutka! I did the rock one last year, and it worked like a charm… XD
Like May, TBH I wasn’t too freaked out by the fact that it was a zombie, but I jumped out of my seat because it shocked me. XD
(Yes, that makes me a bean..)

    1. Thank you! It is a neat trick, it is. 😀
The zombie was quite a bit of a nasty surprise. And oh, I almost forgot, I’ve sent you an invitation for TWW. Tell me if you got it, won’t you?

      1. Thanks SO much Mutka! I’m so happy right now! I just cleaned out my inbox, and found it! I accepted, and as for the content, I’m going to write weekly narratives, like the one I submitted for my application! EEK!
