Let’s have a quick intro, then, shall we?In today’s post, you’re going to see fewer pictures than usual, but you’re also going to get an introduction to my new blog design.

In today’s post, you’re going to see fewer pictures than usual, but you’re also going to get an introduction to my new blog design.

Unless you’re reading this post in the Reader, you guys will probably have noticed it. I’m really excited about it, and today I’m going to share some of its features with you along with a few pictures of birds and animals I have collected in the past few months.

P.S: SHORT POST ALERT! *beep beep*

To start off, we have a rather ugly picture of a bear by yours truly.

And onward, much prettier pictures of other things by yours truly’s dad.

This guy was from a zoo, so you can see the unfocused parts of the cage bars. Poor guy.

I incidentally forgot what this is called, but I may have a hunch that it’s a barking deer. I love the eye came out here. There’s a bar attack on this one too, so… No yay.

Hello, Tibetian Wolf.

This is a rather dark picture, but the monkey is really cute so it’s worth it.

Macaw. Real colourful.

Hey, what’s this?

This is a… Uh… a back view, but the tree is really pretty so never you mind.

Ah, I like this one.

And last but NOT the least…

RED PANDA!!!

Yaaaay! I love red pandas and I was so excited to see this one, but I confess that I sort of cheated here and edited this picture. 😛

And here ends Natural Captures, Issue 2.

I hope you enjoyed those!

As promised, here are a few features of my new blog design. I’m going to be going by really quick, so I hope you don’t mind the length.

I have been working on this design for a while now, and I’m very happy with what I got from it. Personally, I find this colour scheme better suited to the feel I want for this blog. I have settled with a simplistic palette of grey and blue watercolour.

All of the graphic elements in here have been altered. I am much happier with this header than my old one. 😉

My sidebar has been updated, and you can find my signoff below and my divider above. The logo has also been revamped accordingly. I’m not very happy to leave out my free elf references from now, but… I guess it’s for the best?

I’ve also got some new text graphics sprinkled here and there, and there is not much more to say, but I’d love to hear from you on what you think!

What’s your say for Natural Captures #2?
Do you love red pandas as much as I do?
Any opinions on my new design?

  1. I love Red Pandas too! The 4th last picture is a white Throated Kingfisher, and the second last one is an Oriental Magpie Robin… (you probably already know the latter)

  2. Hi Mukta! Cool photos! Change is nice, I guess, but I liked the vivid feel your old design gave. If you want to keep this one, this looks cool too and is simplistic, that’s no problem as well. 🙂

  3. Love those pictures! HOW DID YOU SEE A BEAR AND A RED PANDA AND A MONKEY AND A WOLF???!! 😮 XD Were they in the zoo? (although I didn’t see any horrible zoo fences 😛 )
Also, I love your new blog design! 😀

Opinions. Tell Me Everything.
